HexxitRE

Welcome to the world of Hexxit REvisited! If you’ve ever played the original Hexxit for 1.5, then you should already be familiar with the concept of Hexxit, but for those of you who don’t, or just need a refresher, Hexxit is about exploring the Minecraft world, battling through dungeons, collecting treasures, and magic! Hexxit REvisited brings the familiar feel of the original into 1.7.10, with more dungeons, mobs, loot, and just more to do! There is no tech to speak of in this pack, nothing modern, the focus is on a more old-world feel, with nature being just as important as building and exploring, your goal is to utilize your land to your advantages, rather than to destroy it! I carried over as many mods as I could from the original that have traveled to 1.7, the only ones I had to leave out were those that simply have not updated, or are redundant in what they bring, but not to worry, with everything carried over, you’ll definitely remember them all, and while a few have changed a bit, it’s not too significant!

Mining is also a bit different, there is no automated mining at all, but there is also no need to, ore generation is different than you’d usually expect to see, you can find diamonds at the surface, and gold at the top of a mountain! All ores can be found, well, anywhere, at any level, and they appear in larger veins too. This also applies to most of the non-vanilla ores as well, with very few exceptions, and this even extends to the Twilight Forest as well, (which includes some ores found only there and nowhere else!) keeping the mining experience similar throughout dimensions. Even the Nether brings it’s own sets of ores to the tables, though as usual, mining in the Nether is more dangerous as a whole, partly because of the ores, and partly because of the environment around you, so be careful!

You will get very accustomed to always making sure you have an arsenal of weapons on you at all times, as the mobs you encounter will be more dangerous, and numerous, than you might expect. A night may turn into a fight for survival if you’re not careful, and if you’re unlucky, you may have to fight through a dreaded Blood Moon where mobs will spawn much more numerously, and will be more likely to be powered up from the sheer numbers alone! All non-passive mobs (Including bosses) always have a chance of being Infernal which boosts up their health tremendously, and gives them a multitude of special (random) abilities making them bosses, you’ll wish you didn’t encounter! The bonus is, that every killed infernal mob will drop a minimum of one piece of loot, which will more than likely be an armor piece, tool, weapon! (Every armor piece or weapon/tool dropped by an Infernal Mob will have random enchantments)

Something a bit more new, but also just as familiar, is a few magical mods, all of which bring something new and special, with many early and end-game tools and utilities to help you out. You can bring the magic out of nature itself by creating Mana and using that to create and manipulate special materials to make yourself stronger, have self-repairing tools, and to even help you perform mundane tasks more efficiently! You could also train yourself to manipulate magic in a more traditional sense, with wands and other magical apparatuses that can prove to be very challenging to even set-up, but very rewarding in execution! You could even brew up some unique potions that all perform very different tasks, summon very dangerous and mysterious demons, and much much more from the included magic mods this pack has to offer!

Also of course, you can not forget about dungeons, a true cornerstone of Hexxit, likely providing you the bulk of your adventuring time, the dozens of different dungeons you can find in the Overworld, Nether, Twilight Forest, and sometimes even The End, will keep you busy for weeks! Dungeons provide tons of mobs for you fight, with countless treasures to grab and collect; much more fun to explore with your friends too! You could even encounter many Ruins, some of which simply enhance the land’s aesthetics, others are dangerous traps, meant to trick you and kill you, and even some can be refurbished into nice places to live!

Some mods that are important(but not limited to) note in this pack include:

Tinker’s Construct; arguably the cornerstone of Hexxit as a whole, bringing you the ability to process your ores efficiently without any machines, a way to make your own fully customizable tools and weapons, craftable health boosts, and much more. It is truly a mod that cannot be explained or spelled out, you must experience it all for yourself, it’s most fun and rewarding that way too!

Chocolate Quest; bringing you dozens of unique dungeons to explore and battle through, from castles, to towers, to caves, to giant fortresses, even to pirate ships! Each one comes with a specialized set of mobs that have their own AI, making them smarter, more challenging, and bring unique abilities to the tables, giving you quite a fight! This all comes with lots of armor sets, tools, weapons, and utilities that enhance your game and fights, and as a bonus, most of these have fully custom recipes, exclusive to this pack that either resemble original recipes from Hexxit, or are completely unique and 100% original.

Loot Bags; added more as a testing mob to see how well custom loot tables worked, turned out to be really quite nice and fun to have around. This mob adds just one thing, Loot Bags, with 5 tiers that, quite honestly, don’t represent what loot they have in them, but only the rarity at which they can drop. These bags can drop from hostile mobs, passive mobs, and even players, at a fully customizable rate, allowing you to amass either a lot after a few nights of hunting (or just one Blood Moon!) or perhaps only scrounge up a few after several grueling weeks!

Project Zulu; a mod that focuses on making the Minecraft world more exciting, dangerous, and just aesthetically pleasing, bringing you dozens of new mobs, from animals, to monsters, and even traps, with AI’s that cause them to behave differently, in many ways much like real animals! Project Zulu also brings it’s own set of dungeons to the table, each one very different from the last, and providing challenges all it’s own. last but not least, Zulu has it’s own highly customizable, and very unique potion brewing system, allowing you to make potions of nearly any type, of many lengths and potencies, and of course, drinkable versus splash, the only catch however, is that there is no in-game documentation about this brewing system, you either need to learn it yourself, or look up some tutorials for it!

Custom Chest Loot; a mod that is easily forgotten, but without it, most of the chest loot would be dull, samey, and honestly not very good, but with this mod, and all the days of work spent configuring it, most of all the vanilla loot tables are 100% customized with hundreds of treasures added to them from nearly every mod included, and while a few dungeon mods have their own unique loot tables to pull from, the rest simply pull from the vanilla chests. As a note, this is all custom, as the name implies, none of this was done automatically, so it is 100% unique and exclusive.

These are just a few of the many included mods, the ones I felt were important enough to spotlight, the rest, I’ll have you learn about yourself. A modslist is included here for you to check out.
